Who says that complaining gets you nowhere?
I have been complaining about my "not-so-perfect" body and my noticeable cellulite lately and the nice folks at DermaQuest heard me!
I've received a tube of DermaFirm, a lotion that claims to swap cellulite for smooth skin, and I really want to believe them!
A blend of 6 dimple-diminishing ingredients will defeat my cellulite by increasing micro circulation and regulating fat cells deposit and storage.
And to all you skeptics out there, before you start screaming "cellulite is invincible!" please... listen... why don't we give this product a chance before we throw in the towel (and embrace the dimples)?
I had already started my cellulite massages with Nivea, but at this point I will switch to DermaFirm, and report back my results.
Stay tuned (toned). ;)

OH, I'm really curious to find out how that works!! I'm very skeptical.
Another article on cellulite in the July issue of Real Simple (p 84.) They say cellulite is determined by genetics; weight is immaterial. It's due to fat bulging between the bands of tissue that connect your skin to muscle.
There are temporary fixes listed - topical creams and gels only last until your next shower.
Very skeptical here, too, but do tell - I know people who would love to hear a positive result!
I don't think weight is completely immaterial, as you don't see many fitness competitors with cellulite. If you decrease your body fat...which is what the cellulite is, and increase the muscle in your upper legs, I think you will see a substantial decrease in cellulite. I , for one, notice that when I'm eating right and exercising, my cellulite decreases substantially. Just my opinion :)
The fitness competitors may just have good genes, LOL. But intuitively, what you say makes sense, Kristen. If a muscle is exercised and becomes larger it will push against the skin more - the skin stretches and tightens, which would diminish the appearance of cellulite.
But I have seen thin people with cellulite, and conversely, heavier people without any, so there must be an interplay of mechanisms affecting the presence of cellulite.
Plum, totally agree, but you can be a skinny person with a high fat percentage...coined "skinny fat". I do think some people are genetically built to have more or less cellulite though. Whatever the blessed reason for cellulite, it would be nice to rub something on it an make it go away :)
If this thing turns out to be a success, I'm buying it!
